If I had one wish for my children, it would be that each of them would reach for goals
that have meaning for them as individuals.
- Lilian Carter
Graduation is a time of reaching one goal only to move on to another goal. It is a time of change, anticipation, and often apprehension.
Throughout life, I graduate from one goal to another. At times, I may experience the same emotions of anticipation and apprehension when making important decisions or initiating changes in my life - especially concerning family and career.
However, I have graduated from feeling fear and doubt to feeling confident and serene, knowing that I am living in God's world. I do not fear what the future may hold or worry that I have made a wrong decision. I achieve such confidence and serenity by turning to God in prayer and listening to the thoughts that reveal themselves to me. I feel at peace about the past and totally prepared for both the present and the future.
I am confident and serene, knowing that I am living in God's glorious world.
